    Mission
    The mission of the Cincinnati Fire Foundation (CFF) is to support the Cincinnati Fire Department (CFD), as well as other fire/rescue departments and other incorporated public safety organizations in the Greater Cincinnati, Ohio area. Such support may include, but not be limited to the purchase and/or maintenance of equipment and vehicles, providing funds for professional education forums and training of fire-fighting personnel, providing funds for the promotion of fire prevention and general safety training and material for the general public, as well as for other designated needs as determined by Cincinnati Fire Foundation’s Board of Directors.

    Organization
    The Cincinnati Fire Foundation is an independent corporation. The foundations was chartered in 2008 in the State of Ohio as a not-for-profit corporation and is recognized as exempt under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The corporation is non-political in nature and exists to provide effective support to the mission and morale of fire departments and public safety organizations within the tri-state area. An independent Board of Directors manages the affairs of the Cincinnati Fire Foundation.

    Sources of Funding
    The Cincinnati Fire Foundation has received funding from public and private foundations, corporations, and individuals. Typically grants from foundations tend to support specific projects. Corporate gifts have assisted in the support of the administrative needs of the foundation in addition to specific projects. Individual gifts are usually received to honor or memorialize an individual or group. top of page

    Uses of Funds
    One of the primary interests of the Cincinnati Fire Foundation is to provide fire safety education and information to the public, particularly as it relates to children in disadvantaged neighborhoods. Examples of supported projects

    The Cincinnati Fire Foundation has received exemption from Federal income taxes under the United States Internal Revenue Code Section (26 U.S.C. §501(c)(3), and is qualified to receive tax deductible gifts under Section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Code. The Foundation is registered in the State of Ohio as a Not-For-Profit Corporation.
